Transitioning Forward founding principal Allen Fitzsimmons possesses a bachelor�s degree in economics and political science from the University of Rochester and a master�s degree in management from the University of Rochester�s Simon Business School. While an undergraduate, Allen Fitzsimmons played for the varsity tennis team and served as executive sports editor of the Campus Times.

A U.S. Professional Tennis Association-certified teaching professional, Fitzsimmons worked for more than 10 years as a tennis pro for a number of country and tennis clubs. He has also served as assistant athletic director for a college preparatory school in Connecticut and as a member of the physical education faulty for a private college in Massachusetts.

More recently, Fitzsimmons worked as a licensed health and life insurance sales representative for AFLAC. During his tenure with AFLAC, he led sales among new producers in the Central Massachusetts region.

In his current position as CEO of Belchertown, Massachusetts-based Transitioning Forward, Allen Fitzsimmons directs a company that catalogues, appraises, markets, and sells items for clients going through home relocation, estate settlement, or other life transitions. He performs in-person consultations with clients to develop an action plan and provides advising throughout the listing and selling process. To facilitate business growth, he has built partnerships with law offices and realty agencies to conduct appraisals for their clients.

Outside of leading Transitioning Forward, he enjoys playing jazz trumpet, hiking, cycling, and studying historic curios, such as coins and sports memorabilia.
